During the last months I have all my PCs migrated to unbuntu-studio 7.10 with the real time kernel of linux activated. Furthermore I have switched from the KDE-environment to the GNOME-environment. One main reason was the update-mechanismen of ubuntu, which works much, much cleaner and more comfortable than under the the Suse-novel distribution. The limited availability of hardware and drivers for linux (and different programs under linux) is still some weakness, but the freedom you are getting besides this is wonderful.
